Celebrate Disability Pride Month at Bellingham’s first-ever Inclusion Festival, hosted by the Whatcom Center for Early Learning. Organizers invite “all residents and visitors to connect, play, learn and belong,” while also raising awareness of the myriad local services and support available to families who need them.
Events include an 11 a.m. Walk-n-Roll-athon with Cascade Connections, sensory-friendly activities, silent disco, and a visit from Animals as Natural Therapy, in addition to live music and craft vendors throughout the day. There’s even a 3 p.m. screening of the Oscar-nominated film “Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution,” which “chronicles the campers and activists who helped launch the disability rights movement” per its description.
