Babies Can’t Wait Films & Resources
Long-term health and education outcomes are significantly improved for children who receive early support services at 0-3 years of age. However, many families and caregivers are unaware that these time-dependent services are accessible to everyone and free or low-cost.
Anyone can self-refer for a free evaluation by calling the SEAS line at 360.715.7485. Again, it is important to get started as soon as possible. After 3 years of age, services look very different and are usually in a school setting without the parent/caregiver education component that early support services offer.
WCEL has collected client stories to give families and caregivers a better understanding of what early support services offer. Please select a film to watch below:
A family with a baby with a feeding tube - English
A Spanish-speaking immigrant family with a baby with complex medical support needs - English and Spanish
A Chinese immigrant family with a child who has autism - English
A Ukrainian-speaking immigrant family - Ukrainian language with English Subtitles
A Punjabi-speaking immigrant family with a child with delayed speech – Punjabi language with English Subtitles
An Arabic-speaking immigrant family with children with delays in development - English and Arabic
It’s Never Too Late
Early support services are for babies 0 to 3, but if you have concerns for a child over three, you can call the SEAS line (360.715.7485) and they can connect you with outpatient services and/or school district-based services for older children.
