Family Resource Coordinators
What does a Family Resource Coordinator do?
At WCEL, we believe supporting a young child means supporting the whole family. That’s why every family in our Early Support program is partnered with a Family Resource Coordinator (FRC).
Your FRC is your go-to connection throughout your journey with us. They’ll help you understand your options, coordinate services, and ensure your family’s needs are at the center of everything we do.
With the support of your WCEL team, your FRC will:
Collaborate with you to develop your child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)
Help you navigate service choices that best support your child’s growth
Connect you with helpful resources in the community
Coordinate IFSP reviews every six months
Be available to talk through any changes, concerns, or new goals you may have
Transition services include:
Your FRC will work hard to ensure that transitions in your child’s services go well. Whether it is a transition within WCEL programs, a transition to your child’s local school district at age 3, or a transition to a community program, your FRC is available to provide information and assistance throughout the process.
FRC’s are always happy to help!
Ask questions! Every question is valid. Your FRC is always happy to explain more about programs, services, funding, resources, the IFSP, and transitions, or any other question. Whatever your needs, your family’s FRC is there to help. Contact your FRC by phone, text, or email.
