NW Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is a local agency for deaf and hard of hearing adults, with advocacy services, library, events, and resources and referrals.

Community Resources:

Arc of Whatcom County provides information and referrals, monthly Parent Coalition newsletters, advocacy and assistance for people with disabilities and their families, and educational programs and workshops. www.arcwhatcom.org 

United Way of Whatcom County funds help support WCEL home visits; funds come through Community Safety Net and Donor Designations to WCEL. Board Development assistance and Directors Forum support United Way member agencies.

Infant Toddler Early Intervention Program, Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, is a state funding source that helps fund some B-3 services, trains Family Resource Coordinators (FRC), and implements the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA Part C) in Washington State.
