Thank you for joining us at the Bellingham Golf & Country Club on Saturday, March 6, 2010 for our Annual Fundraising event and auction. With your help, we have exceeded our expectations and have set a new event revenue high of over $54,000 to support young children with special needs and their families here in Whatcom County.
The evening was enjoyed by all as the night’s activities included music by The Thomas Harris Trio, Manca Valum ‘auction extraordinaire’, Emcee Bob Kramer, live and silent auctions, fine dining, decadent desserts and local wine tasting provided by Glacial Lake Missoula, Dakota Creek, Challenger Ridge and Samson Estates wineries.

This 6th annual event is the major fundraiser for Whatcom Center for Early Learning (WCEL), a local non-profit agency providing services to support the development of very young children with special needs since 1973. Services include comprehensive, family-centered early interventions for children ages birth to three. Children in the WCEL Birth to Three Program receive individualized services to assist in the development of communication, cognition, physical and motor skills and socialization.
Whatcom Center for Early Learning, located at 2001 H Street in Bellingham, serves nearly 75 Whatcom County eligible children and their families each month. Services are provided on site in the “Big Blue House,” in family homes and in other community settings at no cost to eligible families.
